Are you struggling to find new customers for your business and having little or no support from your franchisor? Then the Franchise Support Network is here for you. Our organisation was created from the bottom up for people that bought into a franchise but have hit a brick wall. You need read no further if you are a franchisee regularly hitting your targets, getting excellent support from your franchisor and you have a good state of financial well-being. Franchise Support Network is not for you. If you are in business but maybe are not doing as well as you want but you have not invested in a franchise then this system is not for you either. We have put together a system with the valued input of NatWest bank and Mundays solicitors specifically designed to help business people running franchises. We know that you have a unique set of challenges that non-franchise business do not have. At the same time, many franchisees have less previous experience running a business and appreciate the extra "leg-up". But, as a franchise, you also should have huge advantages over other formats of business And that is probably why you decide on buying a franchise in the first place. After all, instead of investing in a franchise you could have started your own business from scratch. It would have been an unproven format, a brand new to the market and you would probably have had to make lots of expensive mistakes before you hit upon the winning formula. So
you opted to invest a large amount of £££££
in buying your franchise. Maybe you spent only £6,000, maybe
you ploughed in £25,000, maybe you invest even more. But the
franchisor showed clear evidence to you how you would get that money
back and more in a matter of 3 years.
But you - the franchisee - might be experiencing a gap between what you believe was promised by your franchisor and what you are seeing now. Maybe you are only a few months into running your franchise and the reality is dawning that this is not as easy as it seemed. Sure, you can make a go of the business but actually the franchisor maybe did not highlight how many more skills you might need than you first thought. Possibly you have run your franchise for some years. It has never quite reached the annual turnover you had hoped for. However, you are surviving, but you know the business could do a lot better but you are not sure how to make that happen. For some franchisees they feel their backs are against the wall. They feel more than let down by the master franchise and they believe they have been left high and dry. They might even have done the due diligence before making the initial investment but now they see that a rather more rosy picture was painted than was justified. It is "decision time", "make or break", "the last chance saloon" or whatever phrase describes the serious point that these franchisees have reached. Whichever of the scenarios above most closely applies to you, you can rest easy that you have come across a group of people that know what it feels like. And we are here to show you the huge amount of options open to you. Sometimes, when business is not going as well as you want, you feel trapped. Maybe you even feel like you are on your own. Almost helpless.. Franchise Support Network "does what is says on the side of the can": we are a network of people set up to support franchises. But let's be clear - we are not here to help franchisors. And we are not funded by franchisors either. We are funded by your subscriptions. There are plenty of commercial organisations ready and willing to help franchisors improve their financial performance. After all, the franchisor has the income from you, the franchisees, to invest. However, in some cases, the franchisors don't want to even do that. We are independent of the business owners that sell the various licenses and territory franchises. Because we want Franchise Support Network to not pull any punches. We want to be able to give struggling franchisees unfettered and honest advice.
At one extreme, some struggling franchisees are actually at a point of no return. Things are so bad that they need to get out. The realisation is a difficult one but there comes a point one has to call it a day. Whether it is calling in an insolvency practitioner, taking legal action against your franchisor, offloading the franchise for the best price possible. All the solutions are unpalatable but there comes a point when you have to draw the line. But this is a thankfully rare scenario. In most cases franchisees realise some drastic action needs to be taken in good time. And FSN is there to help run through the options and even to help you execute them. We are not anti-franchisor either. The vast majority of franchises are well constituted, well supported and are excellent value for money. But even these excellent businesses include franchisees that aren't doing as well as they should. And FSN is here to help those franchisees to get the most out of the existing support and systems they have already paid for. Plus learn some additional techniques and benefit from a shoulder to lean on. Franchisees may have been naive but nothing underhand has taken place. We all make mistakes in business - that is how the greatest businessmen learn their lessons. But franchisees involved in such business might need a little help to flex their muscles. And maybe a little moral support and advice on how to approach their franchisor to get the best result for themselves, the franchisee. Even the best franchise is likely to focus on the more successful licensees. That is common sense - concentrate efforts where it is best invested. Sadly that leaves some hard-working franchisees missing out. And some people reading this will be saying "if only". For whatever reason, they are left in a serious situation with a business that may never achieve anywhere near the ambitions that they may have been led to expect. Maybe they are staring bankruptcy in the face, maybe they are being forced to work part-time as well as run their franchise, maybe they are making themselves ill. We are here to help people like that too. FSN is no "silver bullet" but we have a lot practical ideas that can make the best of a bad lot. So now you want to know more. What will FSN actually be OFFERING?! The "system" is based around a core seminar day. It will be an intensive programme packed with tools, ideas, instructions, practical approaches and support to make sure delegates leave knowing they can dramatically improve the results of their business. You may not have heard of FSN but you will have heard of our sponsors, Mundays solicitors and NatWest bank. We are proud that both are supporting FSN with high quality knowledgeable speakers that you will get a chance to learn from. Some of the content will be high quality sales and marketing advice that applies to most small businesses.
